Nice and easy truck camping solution. I love it!

This is a great solution to truck camping. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma with a 5ft short bed and the mid-size one fits like a glove. It takes less than 5 minutes to install and even less time to break down. It’s super easy to get back into the bag. I like that. I found it easy to install, however, the instructions could use a diagram or three for some people less familiar with outdoor gear. At first, I found it a bit pricey. After all, I can get a tent that uses more material for around half the price. But, after using it I can see the value in this truck camping innovation. Final note: the pictures in the item description do not do it justice. It looks much better on my truck ;).

Perfect for my 98 Tacoma and high shell.

Fits my 98 std cabs 4×4 Tacoma with it’s high-top camper shell perfectly!

I find, if I use the supplied nonfixed Bungie, up and under in the gap between the bumper and the truck bed. It closes off the bottom of the tent corners and keeps the bugs out.

If not used that way, there can be little gaps at the sides of the bumper. Be assured the bugs will find those tiny gaps. But easily solved with the Bungie up the back of the bumper.

    I recommend this product.
    For the right-sized vehicle, PERFECT!

I have a carpet kit in my Tacoma and when not sleeping in my hammock, I sleep in the truck.

Before this tent attachment, my toes touched the rear hatch of the shell. Not the most comfortable.

Now with this attachment, perfect freedom to stretch. Plus the grand benefit of more fresh air whilst the bug screen keeps the bugs at bay.

    UPDATE:
I forgot to mention I must prop my rear hatch open with my telescopic walking canes.

Still working out good for me.

I had a fire about a mile or so away. So packed away the hammock and used this shell tent.

Found a way to hook the bungees so I could drive away slowly in an emergency with this tent in place.
